The Queen and the Duke will stay at the Grand Hotel during their Dunedin visit, and at 9 p.m. they will make a ceremonial drive to the Town Hall for a Royal variety concert.
Friday’s programme in Dunedin includes a visit to Invermay agricultural research station, a garden party in the Botanical gardens, and an athletic meeting at the new Caledonian ground.
Queen Looked Rested
(From. Our Own Reporter) NELSON, Feb. 13. The Queen today looked more relaxed and rested than she did on her arrival in Wellington. For her visits to Nelson, Blenheim and Picton, she wore a dress and jacket suit of aquamarine blue wild silk. The bodice of the frock was of a lighter blue. Her halo hat was of the same aquamarine silk as her suit, and she wore pale grey accessories, a pearl necklace and a large diamond and pearl brooch which sparkled in the sun.
Children's Rally Cancelled
(NZ.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) SYDNEY, February 13.
A rally of 58.000 schoolchildren planned for the Queen’s visit to Sydney next month has been cancelled because of a boycott by the New South Wales Teachers’ Federation.
