Latimer Square Seats
Sir,—Are the seats in Latimer square periodically hired out? Are they to be collected in the public gardens for the Queen's visit? This is not the first time they have not been available to tired citizens unwilling to sit on the grass.— Yours, etc., MISSING THEM. February 5, 1963. [The Director of Reserves (Mr H. G. Gilpin) said: “Garden seats are at present being repaired and repainted. Those from Latimer square, along with other seats, will be used on the occasion of the Queen’s visit to the Botanic Gardens, but will be returned as soon as possible afterwards.”]
