N.Z. Shares Active And Firmer
Trading on New Zealand stock exchanges expanded yes-te-u -d°i ,nc !H^ e issues, compared with 72 the previous day and with zv last Tuesday. More than half the business was written at steady prices.
New Zealand shares made twice as many gains as losses. Big rises were shown by Tattersfieki, Andrews and Beaven, Colonial Motors, Whitcombe and Tombs and Williamson Jeffery. Wright Stephenson and N.Z. Paper Mills showed the sharpest losses. Overseas shares were variable but most price changes were small.
