“Govt. Should Survive” (■NZJ’A.-fteutem—Cowrie WASHINGTON, February 10 The new Government tn Iraq appeared to be estab--1 ■shing order and it seemed that it would probably be able to survive, the United States Under-Secretary of State (Mr George Ball) said today ”1 totok there is a pretty good chance th** tt will be an effective Government from here on.” he said in answer to a question on a national television programme. He said there were no indications that the revolution which overthrew the Kassem Government had been fomented by the United Arab Republic. “The indication® so far are that the fight is probably pretty close to over, that the new Government is establishing order, that It will probably be able to survive,” be said. Mr Ball also said earlier appearances suggested that the new Government would be anti-Communist, and he observed that “the Communists are very unhappy with what has taken place.” Frigate’s Visit.—The Royal Navy frigate. Uandaff will arrive tn Port Moresby tomorrow for a one-day visit —Port Moresby, February 11.
