Tbe dub is aeHng member* to subscribe to a debenture issue at N per oent., secured by first mortgage of the cJub's land and buildings. it ia reported. An issue of £13,000 has been suggeated. with provision far repayment of a proportion of the debentures by annual baNot or in the case of hardship or the deafih of a debenture bolder. The dub ia reported to be hoping to receive replies from members by next week. The Greymouith dub decided in principle in favour of a conversion to night trotting at Ms annual meeting last August.
Fit For Royal
The Riccarton jockey, C. McDonald, who damaged a shoulder in a fall in a trotting event at a gymkhana, will be fit to ride at the Royal meeting at Riccarton He bee been engaged for the good two-year-old Magician in the £lOOO Hampton Court Handicap. This was a successful combination in the Dunedin Jockey Club’s Champagne Stakes ia December.
