Dr. R. A. M. Gregson has been appointed a senior lecturer in psychology at the University of Canterbury. He graduated as a mechanical engineer at Nottingham in 1951 and worked for several years on aero gas turbine performance for Armstrong Siddeley Motors, Coventry, before graduating in psychology at the University of London and then taking his Ph.D. in 1961. He has since been employed by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research in London, on social factors in industry. Senior-Sergeant A. E. Leadley, senior detective in Southland, has been transferred to Ashburton. He will return to the uniform branch as senior sergeant in charge of the Ashburton district. — (PA.)
