Stipulate Goes Next Week

The leading weight-tor-age galloper, Stipulate, will be flown to Melbourne on ’Hiunsday or Friday of next week. Stipulate’s main engagements in Melbourne will be toe £5lOO Queen’s Cup. a mile and a half, and toe Queen Elizabeth Stakes, wedgtit-for-age, a mile and a half, both ait Flemington. The Queen’s Cup is on February 23 and toe Queer) Elizabeth Stakes will be run on March 16. Stipulate will ateo be entered for the big events at toe A.J.C. autumn carnival in April. His trainer, C. M. Jillings, said today he was hopeful W. A. Smith, a former New Zealander, would ride the horse.
Stipulate will be accompanied by his toree-year-old half-brother, Mantputete, which races in toe same colours, those of Mr A. E. Davis, of Auddand. Also aboard the aircraft will be toe yearling BallochGanymede colt which changed hands at toe Trentoam Sales last week and toe Awapvrri gelding. Clean Heart.
The Takaadni three-year-old, Algalco. has been sold to an Australian buyer for an unddsdoeed amount and it is likely that he will be flown to his new home in the same flight as Stipulate. Algalon was one of the best three-year-olds of the spring, when he won the New Zeetasri Derby at Ricearton. He was second as well in the WeUtapton Guinea! and second behind Key in the Churchin Stakes. A bey geidtag by Alonso loom Aka, Mgataa has been preparedby 1 J. and 1 R. Tucker lor Mr L. B. Spring, of Whakatane, who bought him as a yearling for 850 guineas, ffis stake earnings come to £3706.
