Small Price Changes In Active Sharemarket
Trading expanded on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday to cover 80 local and overseas issues, the biggest daily range this year. New Zealand issues were mainly steady, overseas issues firmer.
New Zealand Farmers' Fertiliser, in first business this year, rose Is Id more than the dividend to sell at 27s 9d. Other movements by New Zealand shares were small.
Amalgamated Wireless, Dunlop (Australia) and John Fairfax, in first business for some time, all made big gains. Bank of New South Wales rose a further 10s to £4O 5s in dosing business in Christchurch. Falls by overseas issues were of Id or 2d.
