S.I. Schoolboys Beat The Rest
(NX. Press Assoctatton) INVERCARGILL. Jan. 31. The South Island schoolboys' cricket tesm proved too strong for the Rest in a match at InvercargtU today. South Island won by seven wickets. Southland's young left-hand spin bowler. I. Shirley, playing for the Scuth Island was the main reason the Rest made only 114 in the first innings. Shirley : took eight wickets for 42 Scores:—South Island, 140 for three declared (H. Joseph ». L Shirley 08); the Rest 114 (P. Smith J 7).
