Marching CHAMPIONSHIPS AT BELFAST
With 31 teams competing, a high standard of competition is expected at the United Marching Association’s annual championships, to be held at Sheldon Park, Belfast, on Sunday. It will be the first time that the championships have been held at Belfast.
Eight senior teams, 13 junior teams, and 10 midget teams are expected to take part. The three teams at present in Australia are expected to arrive back in Christchurch tomorrow in plenty of time for the championships. Competition will commence in the morning with the senior grade. The afternoon programme will begin with a march-past ot teams.
