MAY DAY IN PEKING
Union Officials Invited (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, January 31. Mr H. Kay. secretary of the Auckland Labourers’ Union Jias been invited to go to China for three weeks and attend the May Day celebration in Peking in April. He said today that it had not yet been decided whether he should attend. He was in China in 1965. The invitation has come from the Chinese Building Workers’ Union which has also invited Mr W. F. Molineux, national secretary of the Carpenters' Union. The Chinese Textile Workers' Union has invited Mr R. Hill national secretary of the Clothing Workers’ Union, and Mr M. W. Rhodes, secretary at the Gm Employees’ Union, to make the same trip.
