Screams Stop Knife Threat

January 30. A man fled from a New Plymouth milk bar this afternoon while the proprietress, who later claimed he bad
brenifatoed a knife at her, screamed for help. The proprietress, Mrs J. Luces, telephoned the police w o rushed to the milk her but found no trace of the man. Inquiries were stiH pro-c-eding late tonight after an intensive search had been made of the city. •
Mirs Luces said the man followed her into the rear of the shop brandishing a sixinch kntte. He began to lunge but her ar reams frightened him off. He was a dark-skinned man, about 23 or 24, slim, and was wearing blue jeans, said Mrs Lucas. He had paM three visfts to the shop during the itey-
