NOVEL PATTERN OF EDUCATION AT GERALDINE.—The new principal (Mr B. Ferrand) outside a new block of seven rooms added to the Geraldine High School, which this year will integrate classes from Form I to Form VI. In this new design of the Canterbury Education Board, the ceilings follow the zig-zag line of the roof, giving unusual acoustic properties and high windows. The reorganised school is administered by a committee of control, with three members nominated by the Education Board, four by the 11 contributing schools, and four by the former Geraldine District High School Committee.
