Apricots Sent In Ferry
(N.Z. Press Association) PALMERSTON N„ Jan. 29. Representatives of the Alexandra and Clyde Fruitgrowers’ Association, who were in Palmerston North today to examine Otago apricots as they arrived from the Aramoana, claimed the fruit was in better condition than when it was sent by rail-air. Last week 1830 cases were sent in a cooled waggon to Auckland. It proved so successful that another 1900 cases were dispatched this week.
