REST FROM CRIME
Ngaio Marsh’s New Task (MX Press Association) AUCKLAND, January 28. Miss Ngaio Marsh, author of detective stories, is having a rest from crime—she is writing a book about New Zealand for American teenagers Miss Marsh, in Auckland to supervise rehearsals for her opera, “A Unicorn for Christmas," told about her new book at her hotel tonight. She said it had been com-
missioned from her by a New York firm primarily for use in American high schools "They wanted a book that would give an authoritative picture of New Zealand for young Americans," she said. "That sounds all right if you ray it quickly But I am finding it very, very hard work. To make sure that it is authoritative, I am having to do an enormous amount of research and reading—often
just for two or three sentences.
"I am about half way through the book, and it will probably take me until the end of April to finish it” Miss Marsh will attend the Royal performance of "A Unicorn for Christmas” at the St James Theatre on February 7.
