Holiday Accommodation
Sir,—Mr Kingston Smotfi has raised a very vital question, regarding the aceommodataon offered at Timairu, for Christmas hobdays. A couple in their seventies had full belief that they would get bed, breakfast, and dinner at a fair cost. On arrival they found only breakfast and bed. This meant they had to rely on an aged couple over 80 to share dinner and other meals. Of course they more than shared expenses. About £7O a week was netted for this bed and breakfast. A coloured student had to pay £ll a week for board working during his vacation. These landladies. should be made to register the number of guests taken, and the necessary conveniences. The firstmentioned couple paid £2O for 10 days for bed and breakfast, tor two, making own beds and servicing room —Yours, etc.,
