MELBOURNE, January 28. The New Zealand pacer, Waitaki Hanover, is tippedby keen judges at the main threat to his stabtemate Cardigan Bay in the 1963 Inter-Dominten Duwrunirmbegmnteg Adelaide, on Saturday, February 9. P. T. Wolfenden will drive Cardigan Bay, a short-priced favourite in the ohamptenahip. A former New Zealander, E Kennerley, who won the IMB championship at Adelaide with Single Direct, will drive Waitaki Hanover in the series.

Waitaki Hanover is favourably handicapped on scratch in the championship. He won races at Harold Park last season after being beaten by Deep Tan in the New South Wales Pacers’ Derby. Cardigan Bay, which is to run in the £5OOO Summer Cup at Harold Park on Saturday night, and Waitaki Hanover, both won at Auckland on the eve of their departure for Sydney.

Head Injuries.—When he walked into the side of a rail-car at the Grove road railway crossing shortly before 6 p.m. on Saturday David Williams, aged 55, who lives at the Salvation Army Home in Poulson street, suffered head injuries. He was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital.
