LORD HANKEY, former Secretary to the British Cabinet, died in Redhill Hospital, Surrey, yesterday, after an operation. He was 85. Lord Hankey, known as the “man of a million secrets,” became secretary to the War Cabinet in 1916 and held the position for nearly 25 years.-London, January 27.
