Athletics FAST MILE BY DAVIES
4min o.9sec At Dunedin

Nearly 4000 persons saw the tartest mile run on the Caledonian track, Dunedin, tonight, when the Waikato runner, J. L. Davies, won the festival mile in 4min o.9sec. For all three placed men the race was a triumph—for Davies it was the tartest time he had run for the mile in New Zealand, and for the others, -both Australians, it was their fastest time ever, T. Vincent recording 4min I.7sec, and R. Clark 4min 3.4 kc.
