Thieves Break Into Garage
A camera, valued at £45, and £45 in money were stolen from the New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative Association's garage at the corner of Cashel and Madras streets during the week-end. A door was forced to gain entry Clothing, valued at £l3 12s 6d, was stolen from the menswear shop of Doug Nesbit, 153 Armagh street, after a window had been forced
Tools and equipment, valued at £5B, were taken from the premises of Hi-Stress Concrete, Ltd, Haytons road, Sockburn. The sum of £2 was stolen from the Russley Service Station, 2 Russley road. A quantity of cigarettes and cider were stolen from the Wilding Park canteen.
Two Vehicles Collide.— Minor lacerations to the head were suffered by Leonard Bourne, of 12 Mathias street, when a car and a van collided at the corner of Colombo street and Moorhouse avenue about 1.50 a.m. on Sunday. He was treated at the Christchurch Hospital.
