WAIROA, January 28. ten brace. which beat only one home on Saturday, led practically all the way for an easy win in the Carroll Memorial Handicap, principal event and first leg of the double on the concluding day of the Wairoa Racing Club's summer meeting. Parlez, little fancied on the win machine, showed a good return to form by winning the second leg. the Presidents Handicap. The combination returned £93 6s for £l. The racing was held in fine weather on a good track. The attendance was good The totalisator on-course handled £32,933 10s, compared with £28,82- 10s last year, an increase of £4106.
