THREE PERSONS INJURED
Cars Wrecked In Collision
Three persons were injured and two cars were wrecked in a head-on collision on the Main North road at the southern end of the Amberley township about 10 pm on Saturday.
Harold Francis Symonds, a farmer, of Waipara, who was driving a car travelling north, suffered head and leg injuries The driver of the other car, which was travelling south, Alan Gejdos, a topdressing firm employee, of 47 Cain street, Timaru, suffered lacerations to the head and leg injuries. William van der Brink, a topdressing firm employee, of Parker street, Nelson, suffered a Icerations to the bead and leg injuries. The three men were taken by St. John ambulance to the Christchurch Hospital and admitted. Mr Symonds’s condition was reported last evening as fair and the other two men were satisfactory. The impact twisted the car driven by Mr Gejdos nearly right round. The police want to interview any persona who saw the accident.
