Licences For Household Removals By Aramoana

The Authority grened nine applications for new licences or amendments to exiting licences for the carriage of bridging materials, household goods, tourists and contract parties in the Aramoana. They were:—

! Empire Forwarding Company. Lid.. Invercargill.— Licence amended by extension of two existing vehicle authorities to include the North Island area for interisleind household removals only. Douglas William Patterson, Huntly.—Vehicle authority extended to include the South Island for household removals on>ly. W. B Easton, Ltd., Dannevirke.—Licence amended to include No. 8 Transport District tor the cartage of bridges, girders and bridge material over-gauge tor rail, tools and equipment being property of the licensee throughout the North Island and the No. 8 Transport District.

The New Zealand Express Company (Wellington), Ltd. —Licence amended by extension of vehicle authority to include the South Island tor household removals only.

Turnbulls Coaches, Ltd.. Dunedin—Licence amended to include North Island tor carriage of touriata restricted to inter-isiend tours. Two vehicles were authorised. A second licence was amended to include the North Island for the carriage of contract parties. Two vehicles were authorised under this licence.

Burn Damage —A bum-off fire in the Waipoua Forest destroyed about 50 aerea of Corsican pine and damaged two acres of palustria and three acrea and a half of radiate pine.—(P.A.)
