AUCKLAND, January 27. Three young men who tried to swim to the aid of a couple caught to a rip at Muriwal Beach got into difficulties themselves and had to be brought to shore by the Muriwai Surf Life-saving Chib this afternoon. Mr and Hrs B. Williams, of Kelston, got into difficulties beyond the breaks* about 3 pm. when the tide was on tee ebb. The first persons to notice them were three young men who immediately swam out to give them assistance.
