SPORTS DAY AT ENGLISH PARK
Axemen, Cyclists, Marching Girls
The New Zealand Junior marching championships today will be followed by a special sports attraction at English Park tomorrow afternoon.
For this entertainment the marching association has combined with the Cycling and Axemen’s Union and a full and varied programme has been arranged. The public will have the opportunity of seeing teams of championship standard performing and cycling of a very high calibre. Apart from marching, cycling and chopping there will also be novelty events, one being a relay race with cyclists and marching girls. The cyclists will race round the track and then send off a girl running across the oval.
