SHARK CAUGHT AT SOUTH BRIGHTON.—This 5ft shark was hooked yesterday afternoon on a set line from the South Brighton Surf Club’s pavilion. The shark gave birth to 30 l0in baby sharks when it was landed on the beach after being towed in by a surf canoe. Members of the club holding the fish and its young are, from left, Messrs T. Johnston, L. Peters, and K. Pearson.
