Several Grass Fires
A grass fire on toe property of Albert Linderlott at 2 Faraday street was extinguished by a unit from the Sydenham station at 2.30 p.m. on Saturday. A grass fine on a vacant section owned by Elsie McFerran at 14 Tanner street was attended by one unit at 2.58 p.m. A blaze on the foreshore at Marine parade, New Brighton, was attended by two units from toe New Brighton station at 3.28. p.m. One unit from the St Albans station attended an oven fire at the home of Mr P. Wilbraham, 82 Hoani street, at 6.3 p.m.
Slight damage was done to a wall of the Former Royal Naval men’s Association clubrooms. 41 River road, by a fire which broke out about 4.15 a.m. yesterday. Two units from the Central station attended. A small fire in the lounge at the home of Antoni us Kleisee, 86 Ascot avenue, was extinguished by two units from the New Brighton station at 8.55 a.m. yesterday. At 1.14 p.m. a fire in a small storage shed ait the home of Mr H. Sedgley. 275 A Greers road, was extinguished by units from the Central and St. Albans stations.
