Aid By Junior Red Cross
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 14. New Zealand Junior Red Cross members have raised £ll5 for the relief of the Persian earthquake victims. For relief in Algeria £5O teas been sent, and £5O for cod liver oil or muM-vitamin tablets to the League of Red Cross Societies to help where the need is greatest. Members have sent overseas 33 cases of clothing, toys, quilts and toilet kits to various places, sent 60,000 multivitamin tablets to the Cameroon Red Cross for needy children, provided five cottages for leper hospitals in South India, sent seventeen cases of skim milk to Hong Kong, adopted one refugee child in Europe, and supported another at a Swiss preventorium for six months at the cost of £92.
