AUCKLAND, December 16.

Ena Harkness, a light-weight from Takanini, dealt severely with several well-regarded Auckland Cup chances when a clear winner in the Hugh Dent Handicap at Pukekohe yesterday. Her first success in open company represented also a notable achievement by her owner-trainer, Mrs P. O. O’Brien, and the apprentice rider, R. W. Delahunty.
