SECOND FIRE RESCUE
oman Carried From Home (NX Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 14. Wellington firemen this morning carried a collapsed elderly woman from a smokefilled bedroom within 24 hours of a similar rescue. At 4.38 am. today, a 74-year-old woman. Miss N. Flanagan, was found unconscious in a burning bed in a house in Buller street Suffering from bums and severe shock. Miss Flanagan was reported tonight by the Wellington Hospital tc be in a fair condition. At 11.20 alm. yesterday, an 80-year-old widow wai, found collapsed near a burning bed in her home in Harbour View road, Northland. She died three hours after her rescue.
