Passenger Dies (N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, December 16 A passenger was fatally injured when a car struck a power pole in Brockeville road, Dunedin, shortly after 4 a.m. today. He was: Raymond Bremner Harvey, aged 34, of Broad Bay. He died in the Dunedin Hospital at 5 a.m. The driver of the car, Joseph George Beardsmorc. aged 38. of Kaikorai Valley road, was seriously injured. Late tonight his condition was reported to be comfortable. A second passenger in the car, Frederick James Owens, aged 18, was slightly injured and his condition tonight was satisfactory. The car was wrecked. Woman Fatally Injured (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON Dec. 16 A woman died after the car in which she was a passenger went out of control on the road between Pukerau Bay and Paekaikariki and crashed through a safety fence on to the rocks below about 4 p.m. yesterday. She was: Mrs Minnie McGahey, of Otaki street, Miramar. The car was being driven by her husband, Mr A. E. McGahey, when the accident occurred. Mr McGahey was uninjured. Mrs McGahey was taken to hospital but died about 7 p m. Motor-Cyclist Killed (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec. 16. A motor-cyclist died from injuries after a collision with a truck a few miles south of Dargaville at 330 p.m. on Saturday. He was John Alexander Holmes, aged 21, of Kowhai avenue, Kaikohe. He died shortly after admission to Dargaville Hospital. Fell 60 Feet On To Rocks (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec. 16 A man was killed when he fell 60 feet on to the rocks at Weymouth beach today while cutting a Christmas tree for a neighbour's child. He was Harvey Campbell Bowater, aged 29, a signwriter, married, of 17 Bowater place, Manurewa.
