NEW GUIDED-MISSILE DESTROYER.—This is the first picture of the Royal Navy’s second guided-missile destroyer H.M.S. Hampshire (sister ship to H.M.S. Devonshire), taken during recent trials before final acceptance. The armament of the 5000-ton, County Class destroyer includes Seaslug and Seacat guidedweapon systems, and radar-controlled 4.5 guns. A Westland Wessex helicopter will be carried for antisubmarine work.
