Ewe And Ram Fairs
Dates for ewe and ram fairs in North and Mid-Canterbury next year have been fixed as follows, according to advice received from the North Canterbury Stock and Station Agents' Association:— January 31: Stud ram fair. February 7: Flock ram fair (mutton breeds). February 8: Flock ram fair (wool breeds). February 11: Kalkoura ewe fair. February 14: Ashburton county breeders’ fair (twotooth section). February 15: Coalgate early fair. February 18: Amberley southern fair. February 19: Ashburton stud and flock ram and stud ewe fair (mutton breeds). February 21: Hawarden ewe fair. February 21: Methven wether lamb sale. February 22: Ashburton county breeders' ewe fair (adult sheep and ewe lambs). February 25: Amberley northern ewe fair.
February 25: Tinwald unregistered ram fair. February 26: Little River ewe fair. February 28: Culverden ewe fair. February 28: Methven county breeders’ ewe Jamb and two-tooth ewe March 1: Methven county breeders’ adult ewe fair. March 4: Kaikoura ram and ewe fair. March 4: Oxford ewe fair. March 5: Sheffield ewe fair. March 5: Tinwald open ewe fair. March 7: Ashburton stud and flock ram and stud ewe fair (wool breeds). March 11: Methven ram fair. March 12: Coalgate ewe fair.
