CURRENCY BREACH
Bid To Send Money Abroad I N.Z. Press Association! WELLINGTON. Nov. 30. A breach of the Finance Regulations—an attempt to take £350 out of New Zealand without permission—-was admitted by a 49-year-old company director, Len Chait, in the Magistrate’s Court at Wellington today. Mr G. I. Joseph said Chait’s intention had been to use the money to help his 90-year-old father in Israel. "He may have had all the altruistic motives and idnas in the world, but it is still an offence against the regulations,” said Mr M. B. Scully, S.M., imposing a fine of £75.
