PERTH, November 28. With three days to go and already six gold medals won, the New Zealand team at the seventh Empire Games in Perth looks certain to become the most successful New Zealand has ever sent abroad. The record performance of seven gold medals won overseas was set by the
1954 New Zealand team at the Vancouver Games. The Perth team has had some disappointments. but It is confident that by Saturday night a new overseas record will have been set. The best total ever by • New Zealand team was 10 gold medals won as the home team at the Auckland Games in 1950.
