Strong Demand For New Zealand Shares
New Zealand shares met a strong demand yesterday when twice as many rises as falls were recorded. Dominion Breweries rose strongly to sell at 17s 3d. South British Insurance, Felt and Textile of N.Z., and George H. Scales also made good gains. Overseas shares were also firmer, with twice as many rises as falls. Price movements in all cases were slight.
