Coup Attempt In Egypt r.V.ZPA.-»euto»—Copyripht) AMMAN (Jordan). Nov 27. Amman Radio yesterday c acted what it called reports ■ -om Cairo that an Egyptian „rmy unit of 400 men a tempted a coup against the Government in the last few days.
The radio claimed the unit, stationed near Cairo, disobeyed orders to go to Yemen, and decided to carry out the coup. The Egyptian high command then ordered the •■annihilation” of the entire unit, the radio said.
It added the situation in Egypt was "rapidly deteriorating with demonstrations m many Egyptian towns and villages." I
