Police Guard For Pitch
(N Z.P.A -Reuter—Copyright) BRISBANE, Nov. 28 An overnight police guard has been placed on the pitch for the first test between England and Australia at the Brisbane Cricket Ground The guard will operate from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. The first test begins on Friday. The chief groundsman, Mr Jack Farquhar, said today the pitch he had prepared was the same one used in the historic tied first test between Australia and the West Indies two years ago.
