(N Z PA ,-Rcuter— Copyright) VATICAN CITY, Nov. 27. Pope John today broadcast greetings in Latin to Roman Catholics in Australia and New Zealand when he inaugurated a new transmitter of Vatican Radio donated by the bishops and church members in the two countries. The transmitter forms part of Vatican Radio's station at Santa Maria di Galeria, 20 miles north of Rome.
The Pope said: “We express to you our heartfelt thanks for the generosity with which you have donated this carefully equipped wireless transnutter destined for the greater spread of truth and loving charity throughout the world. “You thus have gained great merit. Our joy is great.” the Pope said.
