CHIEF FIRE OFFICER
Appeal Against Appointment (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, November 28. Mr G. Dunnachie, a Government fire inspector with the Ministry of Works in Wellington, has appealed against the appointment of Mr G. Drummond, chief fire officer in Auckland, to the post of chief fire service officer for New Zealand. This was announced at a meeting of the Auckland Metropolitan Fire Board today by the chairman (Mr S. A. Gleadow). He said it was not known when the appeal would be heard.
