WHITE RUSSIAN FAMILY
Home In Lower Hutt (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 20. A home recently purchased in Lower Hutt by the Refugees Home Board as a haven for aged White Russians will become the temporary home of a family of White Russians as from Friday providing the five members of the family get a medical clearance.
The family is Mr Ivan G. Titov, his wife Lidia, daughter Maria, aged 24, and sons Aleksei, 22, and Mihail, 14. They come from the Harbin district in Manchuria.
They plan to begin as factory workers. Because some White Russians who recently arrived in Australia were suffering from smallpox the Titovs have been under the supervision of the Health Department since arriving and are expected to receive a medical clearance this week.
