Nelson Axeman Wins Jiggerboard Title
(From Out Own Reporter) GREYMOUTH, Nov. 19. The main event at the Inangahua Sports Club’s annual meeting on Saturday was the New Zealand 11-inch jiggerboard championship chop. This was won by D. Fraser (Nelson), who won narrowly from L. Gilsenan (Inangahua Junction), with D. Gibson (Nelson) third. The results in this championship were:— First heat: D. Fraser 1, R. Thian 2, I. Thompson 3. Second heat: L. Gilsenan 1, D. Gibson 2. Final: Fraser 1, Gilsenan 2, Gibson 3. The results of other finals were:— 12in Underhand B Class.—R. Chandler (Granity) 1, R. McKinnon 2, I. Marley 3. D. Seymour 4. lOin Standing B Class.—D. Seymour (Totara Flat) 1. D. Roberts 2. W. Liddell 3, Gilsenan 4. Ilin Underhand Malden.—R. Eggers 1, L. Harmon 2, G. Keith 3, R. McMasters 4. 12in Standing A Class.—Seymour 1, Gilsenan 2, W. Mumm 3, C. Dalkie 4.
13in Underhand, A Class.—W. Liddell (Atarau) 1, A. Donaldson 2, Thian 3, Seymour 4.
