Motor Racing Cheered Into Pits

Press Assn.—Copyright) PERTH, November 19 Bruce McLaren, of New Zealand, was cheered into the pits yesterday by three New Zealand Empire Games athletes yesterday after his victory in the Australian Grand Prix. McLaren, reluctant to talk too much about his win. commented today: "They seemed most anxious to see a Kiwi win.” McLaren yesterday also won the under 1600 c.c. touring section of the touring and grand touring scratch race. He drove a Cooper Mini entered by a local firm.
