Y.M.C.A. Prizes Presented
About 200 parents and children attended the annual prize-giving ceremony of the Christchurch YALCA, last evening. A film on the World Council of Churches’ Assembly was shown.
The prizes were presented by the Chaplain of the University of Canterbury (the Rev. D. Wilson), who later spoke of his experiences teaching in the East End of London. Prizes presented were:— Mondey Primary.—Gymnastic championships: Richard Chaplin 1. Ronald Bell 2, Ivan Williamson 3. Games championships: bobs, Stephen Stokes: draughts. Murray Skurr; deck quoits, Barry Winder; darts, Roger Hutton; table tennis. David Blackwell.
