ADVENTURE CAMP
Bovs Of 14 To 17 (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, November 18. A post-primary adventure camp to be held at Te Rawhiti, Bay of Islands, from December 1 to 10, is viewed by the organisers, the physical education branch of the Education Department, as a pilot scheme, which may eventually lead to the creation of the new system of physical education based on a network of camps throughout New Zealand. Mr C. Spanhhake, senior organiser of physical education for the Auckland district, said he hoped the Te Rawhiti camp would be one of several “nucleus” camps, where boys of 14 to 17 could be trained as pioneers in the future development of the physical education system.
