Return Of Breasley
(N Z.PA -Reuter—Copyright) MELBOURNE. November 18 Australian racing enthusiasts gave A “Scobie” Breasley a cheering welcome back at Caulfield yesterday when he mounted the two-year-old filly Ripa for his first ride since returning from Britain, where he won the 1952 jockeys’ championship Betters plunged heavily on Ripa and she started favourite at 9/4 on. Ripa raced greenly and Breasley finished a poor third after an uncomfortable ride. The jockey came in for some goodhumoured barracking from the crowd. The winner of the race was Kildarlin (5/2), ridden by G. Lane, who rode in West Germany last year. HORORATA RACING CLUB INC RACE MEETING AT HORORATA ON SATURDAY.
