Scope Of Award
The New Zealand Performing Musicians’ award, issued by the Arbitration Court covers persons engaged to play musical instruments (whether mechanical or otherwise) for rehearsals or performance at skating-rinks, public and private dancing, assemblies, hotels, cabarets, night-clubs, cafes, refreshment rooms, and in connexion with dramatic or variety performances, radio, television and picture entertainment shows, circuses, operatic, comedy, and grand opera companies, orchestral and other concerts, stage presentations (by bands or orchestras) at pictures, vaudeville, theatre entertainments, recordings, radio broadcasts, races, and any other indoor or outdoor en-
tertainments, and any person who operates a mechanical musical instrument, playerpiano, etc, in a public performance.
