Mr D. L. Wood, of Dunedin, has been appointed a member of the Council of Legal Education. He replaces Mr Justice Perry, who has resigned.
Mr R. T. Beattie, of Gisborne. has been appointed a member of the New Zealand Patriotic Fund Board on the nomination of the 2nd N.Z.E.F. Association. He replaces Mr T. B. Fox, who has resigned.
Mr D. O. Haskell, of Napier. baa been appointed advisory
commisßsoner to the Taupo County Council for three years. He will retire from ■the position of district commissioner of works at Napier next month.
Mr L. S. Hayden has been appointed a member of the port conciliation committee for the Port of Westport
