£200,000 For Royal Tour

F (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 6. An item of £200,000 for the Royal tour next year is included in the Supplementary Estimates, which were presented in the House of Representatives today by the Minister of Finance (Mr Lake).

A otal of £2530,950 is sought from the Consolidated Fund by the estimates. The total of the Estimates, already passed. is £301562,166. A further £ 563.000 is

sought for separate accounts and a further £483,000 for accounts outside the Public Accounts. Aid to Vietnam will be provided by a new item of £5200.

The world food programme will get £20,000 and £20,000 has been provided towards the cost of building offices for the New Zealand High Commission in Canberra. Purchase of additional polio vaccine and charges for polio vaccination called for an additional £68,000. Entertainment of visitors to New Zealand and official functions during the visit of the King and Queen of Thailand called for a sum of £35.000. An additional £70.000 is sought for the promotion of

employment through the Labour Department An additional £llO,OOO is being provided to subsidise donations to the Maori Education Foundation £50,000 was provided in the main estimates. . An item of £170,000 is provided for control works on the Waikato river.

A further £14,000 is provided for emergency benefits in addition to the £900.000 provided in the main estimates. An extra £400,000 was sought for war pensions and allowances.

Printing and purchase of additional publicity material for publicising New Zealand overseas called for an additional £12,500 £25,000 was provided in the main estimates.
