Play-Writing Awards
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct. 17. Results of the British Drama League’s 1982 one-act playwriting competitions were announced by the Dominion president (Mr F. R. Bums) today. In the open section—plays en any subject—the winner was John Nicol! (Karori). Philip Allingham (Gisborne) was second and Mrs Iris Thomas (Wellington) third. The all-women section—plays with an all-worfien cast—was won by Mr* Rene Thoma* (Te Aroha). Mrs Kathleen Healey <Dunedin) wa* second and Mr* A. K. Jacques (Palmerston North) third.
